Bad technique, deliberate method

Why the drawings look like that

The short version: the drawings are allowed to be funny, immediate, and visibly imperfect. The explanations still have to be accurate, useful, and easy to follow.

Three channels, one visual idea

Badly Drawn Videos brings together Badly Drawn Answers, Badly Drawn Philosophy, and Badly Drawn Biographies. Each focuses on a different kind of subject while sharing the same deliberately rough visual language.

The image can be crude without being careless

Wobbly lines, lumpy heads, escaping crayon, and pasted photographic objects make an idea approachable and memorable. They also create a useful contrast: the picture admits that it is an explanation, not reality itself.

That visual honesty only works when the underlying page is rigorous. Companion articles answer the question directly, show uncertainty where it exists, list sources, and add structure rather than reproducing a transcript.

How World Made Clear fits

World Made Clear is a separate explainer site. A small number of older companion articles remain there; links are clearly marked when they are useful.
